So here is a look at where we are in relation to everything in Rome. The Campo de' Fiori is where our Studio, Theory, and Italian classes take place. History is out in the city every Monday, and sketching classes will take us all over Rome as well. The labeled Rome Apartment is where I live with Christina, Anna, and Mary. We are about a 5 minute walk from the Pantheon and 10 from the Roman Forum.

Our Location in Rome

The First Week in Roma!
We have all been in Rome for one week now and let me just say, wow! The first few days were filled with sight-seeing, tours, and group dinners. On the second day we had an all day orientation where we learned about Italian culture and customs and took a tour of the Campo de' Fiori and the surrounding area. Classes have begun and I think it is going to be a good semester here. It is definitely to our advantage that we are in one of the greatest cities in the world learning about architecture.
Places we've been to so far:
- Piazza Navona
- Piazza della Rotunda and the Pantheon
- Roman and Imperial Fora and saw the Column of Trajan
- Piazza Sant't Ignazio
- Campidoglio
- Santa Maria in Trastevere

- Santa Maria in Aracoeli
- the top of the Victor Emmanuel Monument with a 360 view of Rome
- Fonatana di Trevi
- Palazzo del Quirinale
- San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane (beautiful!)
- Santa Maria Maggiore
- Orange Grove of Santa Sabina with a panoramic view of Rome
